Pastor Seth and the students from River Student Ministries took over our service to share what God did in and through them at camp this past week, and how God is changing the lives of the next generation. Pastor Seth shared how every student went to camp with some sort of baggage. The first night of camp, they were asked to evaluate what that baggage was and then give it to Jesus. He compared this to the Israelites journey out of Egypt and compared Pharaoh to our sins and baggage. When things get hard, like it did for the Israelites, it’s easy to run back to our old ways and pick up that baggage again. Like the students were encouraged at camp to give God their baggage, Pastor Seth encouraged us to truly evaluate what sins and baggage we are carrying around and to ultimately give those to God.
