Pastor Chris shares on Palm Sunday the beginning of Passion Week. This is the Sunday recored in all the Gospel when Jesus enters into Jerusalem during Passover and announced that He was the prophesied Messiah! Jesus was riding on a donkey, people put cloaked on the ground and waved palm branches shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” This is Jesus’ big entrance but there are some details to the story that are sometimes overlooked. Jesus was very intentional about what He rode on, which city He rode into, when He chose to enter, as well as the fact that Jesus went to the people. The world tells us to create this safe bubble to live within. But Jesus tells us the opposite. Jesus was intentional in how He acted. We are to live with the same intentionality. Jesus went to the people. We need to go to our neighbors, family, friends, coworkers, and classmates. Are we being hospitable? Are we sharing with those who are less fortunate then us? Or are we staying in our tent and living this a “here and now” mindset. As compared with an “eternal” mindset? Our time here in life is just a blip compared with eternity. Are we investing in the enteral by sharing the saving message of Jesus Christ with those around us?
